I created this site for my 2007 environmentally-focused city council campaign. It was what you might call a longshot, as I had no fundraising, no supporters pre-race, approximately no ink from 2 of the 3 local newspapers. But - I did get an endorsement from the Santa Barbara Daily Sound and I even found 3 volunteers (thanks, Mary Ann, Zac and Jen!), in addition to my wife's tireless efforts. Anyway, I got over 2,100 votes. The city continues its polluting ways, to the detriment of local residents, human and animal. So for anybody who cares - start looking for potential 2009 candidates! This is too important to leave to the professionals. |
